What is the exact procedure you want to do?
Forgive my ignorance but I do not understand how a cable with insulation could help you solder the flex to the capacitors

You will not need it. The kit comes with the soldering points that fits exactly to the points where they are to be soldered.
I have tried soldering the ribbon directly to the caps. Couldn't get it to work. I got a black screen with blue light. So I am trying an alternate way soldering the enamel wire from the cap to the pad on the ribbon.
