I had a softmodded ver 1.0 that wouldn't boot so I installed Xecuter 2.6 CE and loaded up a bios. I want to pretty much get this box back to it's original setup plus the new chip and a new dash etc. Is there a way to flash the original bios back to the original MS bios?
thanks~

I may be wrong, but I dont think you could have done anything to the original bios with only a softmod, so you shouldn't have to worry about that. You could have messed up your dash files on your hard drive though. If you have your chip installed and working, try downloading a copy of Slayer's or AutoInstaller Deluxe (AID for short) and burn it to a cd or dvd. From those disc's, you can then restore the MS dash to a working state, and you will also be able to install some alternative dashes included on the disc. I would start by booting to one of those disc's and format your C drive (your E drive will have any existing game saves on it) and let the disc reinstall the MS dash so you know there wont be any stray files to mess it up.

most of the time ot won't boot at all (frag) now that the chip is in and working it's booting ok. I have two disks, thc auto installer and hq auto installer deluxe. this is now where i need the help. I formatted the drive to factory settings but i'm not sure which drive to load dashboards etc on. Guess i have to keep looking around.

Doesn't really matter where you load your dashboards. I put them on the F drive. What bios do you have? If you have 5035, which I would really recommend, there is a config file where can tell it the path of your dashboard.
