Not great quality im afraid.

Description of problem:
First time soldering here so I thought I'd test it on an old Xenon with an E74 error. Keep getting the same bad block each time. Is this because of bad connection on my solder points? Is it problematic? I've reassembled the Xbox back together and it still gives me the E74 error so it would appear I havent fried the motherboard.

Was the console working before you started: No E74

EDIT :

I'm doing this in a VM on a Macbook Air running Parallels if that makes a difference.

well...i read somewhere that E74 error shouldnt affect the firmware on the motherboard and therefore shouldnt affect dumping of the nand.

Bad blocks are quite normal and as long as the same bad block(s) is reported in each dump, it is fine to proceed.

J-Runner will take care of any bad blocks.

Just FYI, you can read the NAND from a RROD console.

On a side note, why aren't you using the latest version of J-Runner?

Thanks for responses

I was just testing out ability or inability to solder hence doing it on an e74 console and it didnt seem too important at the time
