Hi all,
Good job on the tutorials and all the great info. I've been reading for days and I was able to flash my sammy MS25 with a VIA VT6421 sata card. I sucessfully flashed ixtreme 1.2c and can sucessfully play my backup game disk. The ixtreme 1.2c is the only flash ever done. Now I want to try to make a game backup disk, but i'm a little confused. When I did the 1.2c flash, I followed the MS25 update instructions. I believe it did ask to spoof my drive to a MS28 and i said (Y) just like the tutorial stated and everything went smooth and works great.
Finally.... my question.
Since i have never done any other update other than 1.2c, do I have to use a 0800 disk with my VIA VT6421 (i tried VIA driver versions 5.20 & 5.40 & 5.50)? Windows currently doesn't see my sammy MS25. The drive was definatley affecting WinXP, because it would freeze for 1-2 min, then unfreeze for a minute then freeze again and kept happening. I admit i was only patient a couple of times for 5 or 6 minutes each time, then shutdown and came back to the forums to search and read.
