SAMSUNG MS28 Sammy 'MS28' help Please

Hey guys having some problems with this drive I'm pretty new to flashing but got lots of xp with jtag ect...

Anyways prob is that the flash (LT+2.1) went ok (none modded/original firmware) ... I also updated the dash too but I'm gettin open tray when trying backups (original games work fine) also I fitted a new laser too the drive so can rule that out...

Kit I used is ck3i and USB pro... JF 1.90

Any help would be wicked guys thanks all

Did you update the dash before or after you flashed the drive?

As originals work fine It's 70% your laser and 30% the disc (assuming you are doing everything correctly).

To eliminate the 30% we need to know the following.

how you ripped the original
if this problem effects all back-ups (not only XGD3 discs)
how the discs were burnt (What burner)
If topology data was inserted into the ISO using XBC
If the disc was verified and quality checked with Kprobe2 or Nerospeed

If it's the laser, you simply need to replace it.

He said he replaced the laser to rule that out. Is the replacement laser a known working one, I have had new ones DOA a few times.

Thats why it is 70% the laser.

Thanks for replys guys.. The laser was a brand new one I flashed the drive before I replace the laser too.. I also updated the dash first too.. Thanks for the link ill check that out again
