It works in the console and seems fine, I already have the key cos I rgh it so guess I'll just slap a liteon in it wanted to get the sammy back up really cos only other drive I got at min is my ripping drive

the spi is really only involved in flashing the drive, not normal function

a ban wouldn't affect hardware.

sammys are old and they die occasionally

Sammys, you love them (no AP25 issue, when AP25 was an issue for 90%+ of drives), you gotta hate them, they break more often.

You have the key, so just buy a new sammy replacement, if you want a sammy, or buy the liteon replacement and flash your key to it.

No spoof required dude: just get a replacement drive and flash the firmware with your key.

I've replaced plenty of Sammy's with BenQ's / LiteON's this way and so far, they run fine.

Sorry should have closed this as its solved but if you read the entire thread you will see the orig drive was a liteon and i bought the console with a spoofed liteon in and i was just trying to update the sammys firmware
