Hey guys,

Let me preface this by saying that I have successfully flashed another XBox 360 that I own with basically the same equipment that I have right now. That process went pretty smooth, and its working great. However this second time around I am forced to use a CD rather then a USB Key (I lost my Key :(). I assumed the process would be basically the same, however I am running into some issues, and some help would be greatly appreciated.

- Samsung MS25, Never Flashed
- Motherboard w/ Built-in Sata (Intel8CHR)
- iXtreme 12C/Quiet
- NFTS CD Rom

Here is what I do:
1) Everything is turned off. Xbox 360 is NOT connected to computer, SATA Cable is plugged into 360, but not into Computer SATA Port.
2) Turn Computer On, It Boots to CDRom/NFTS DOS.
3) Got to IPREP folder
4) Plug SATA into Computer, turn Xbox on.
5) Enter in iDump 1234567 12345
6) I get MKDIR failed (already exists), then a Selection Screen, shows EXTREME MASTER PRIM (1) and EXTREME MASTER SEC (2) (Why does it show two? I don't have any other SATA Drives plugged in.)
7) Turn Off Xbox 360.
8) Hit (1)
9) I get a Port # like 800a and another #.

* UP UNTIL THIS PART EVERYTHING IS GOOD *
10) Wait up to Ten Seconds Turn ON Xbox 360......nothing happens.
11) NOTHING......Exit out of Bash Command and change 360 Connection Times, does not fix it.

My IPREP defintions are the latest. HOWEVER, I'm not quite sure if the SATA Drivers that I selected in IPREP are the correct ones (I'm selecting the ICHR8 Intel (4 Port) Drivers. However the ones the first appear in the selection are some JMX IDE Drivers? Should I give those a go as well? There is also an ICHR6 Intel (2 Port) Drivers, but I'm not using either of those ports.

I've tried multiple SATA Ports in the same 4 Port Grouping and none of them start the flashing process when I turn the XBox on. :|

Thanks for any and all help!

Does anyone have any suggestions?

if it is a v25 that has NEVER been flashed you should not need to do the 10 secd trick.
ive never done it with a cd.i would just get another flash a small one is cheap these days.

Thanks!

I actually did what you suggested before I read this. I borrowed a USB Stick from a friend and put IPREP with ICH8 SATA Drivers, plugged it into computer booted, turn 360 on. Dumped, Rebooted, Flashed, DONE!

Maybe couple minutes?

USB Key is definitely the easiest route and I love the Samsung MS25's, they flash so easy.
