Just purchased a new Xbox for my kids and wanted to hack the firmware. But find out the xbox has the Lite-On 1175 DG-16D5S witch no hack is currently available.

Question: Could I spoof a Samsung ROM MS28 with the Lite-On 1175 key? Is that feasible?

Thanks for the help!

Im not 100% sure mate, but what Stops Any dvd drive from working in any other xbox is the Keys from xbox dont match the Key from Drive, I would imagine Long has you have the .dummy Key, Spoof onto a Shammy putting in your xbox should be fine... Can't hert to try anyways If you've got the OFW..
Just wouldn't Go online with the Spoofed drive, Wont be good and you will get banned... Stack offline, If you did want go back online Connect your Liteon Back..

Well, the OFW is the problem on those 1175 drive. It employs a new encryption which is currently unknown. Could I get an FW from another source for the samsung???

No - you cannot and should NOT spoof any drive as a slim! also your 1175 is currently undumpable - so you are unable to obtain the data you require from the drive!:ttth:

go to craigslist and buy a beater 360, sometimes you can already get a pre hacked/banned one dirt cheap. Problem solved, you now have an offline and online system to use.
