Far from here!
How does the samsung/toshiba rate? Pretty good? I just got one from a new 1.6b and was wandering if I should exchange it for my Thompson?

yea, i'd have to say they kick butt, mines reads almost anything. The last 1.0 xbox I had, had a thompson and it only read dvd+rw not +r and cd+rw not "ANY" cd-r's it was crazy.

I've said it before and i will say it again, it doesn't matter what make they are, it matters what the manufacture date is, I've had a 1.4 sammy, a 1.6 Thompson, Hitachi, and a Philips. The older the drive the less it will read! My phililps, thompson, and hitachi read Literally everything.

in that case i've said it once and i'll say it again, most drives act similar based on brand, but fact is every drive is somewhat different, esp the thomson and phillips as they have pots that aren't configured exactly the same from drive to drive

also my old ass samsung (from a 1.0, yes there were VERY FEW that had a samsung durring holiday 02) loves media

I bought a v1.0 from ebay shortly before thanksgiving... (my first xbox ever)... It had a samsung drive in it. However I have yet to even try playing burned media of any kind...

Benq/Windows 7 (64)/Via 6421

I'm unable to get jungleflasher to recognize my xbox 360 Benq drive. I'm using Windows 7 64 bit and the Via 6421. Does anyone have any good tutorials? Also the links of what I'll need?

I would rather just download everything and start from the beginning.

I've followed the instructions... I even used the driver signature program and continue to receive this error. Can't install portio64.sys driver... What could be causing this?
