Hello everyone, I appreciate this site and the great tutorial but I'm am in need of some help. I am trying to flash a m28 with xtreme 52. Everything looks oK but when it's time for the samtool to kick in it just sits there. It says Samtool but it doesn't do anything after that. I looked through the forums and I couldn't locate this problem. Can anyone help?

Do you have a valid orig.bin in the \BACKUPS\xxxxxxx\yyyyy folder on your USB drive? If so boot into Windows and create a new folder on C: and copy your orig.bin + samtool.exe + the hacked 5.2 firmware from the root of the USB drive to that folder. Then open a command prompt in Windows, switch to the folder you created, and run...
samtool <original firmware> <hacked firmware>
For example...
samtool orig.bin xtremefw.bin
Samtool will run and you should see a green success message about the keys matching. Then copy the hacked firmware you just created to the \BACKUPS\xxxxxxx\yyyyy folder on your USB drive, boot into DOS and proceed with the flashing step.

i'm at the root of the c drive in command prompt but it gets a little confusing after that. do i enter run samtool orig.bin xtremefw.bin and hit enter?
Let me clarify the message i'm getting is something to do with the orig.bin not being correct, that's what holding me up right now. Is it possible to just go ahead and do the iprep and xtreme 1.2 or do i have to get this straightened out first.
You can use iPrep and xtreme1.2 if you want, follow Textbook's tutorial and start over from the beginning. The only difference in flashing is the commands are iDump to read and iFlash to flash.
