Sata Driver..... driving me nuts!

ok... in the process of my first flash. i can't find my sata in XBC. in device manager no sata drives are listed yet my HD is sata. any suggestions on how to find out what sata chpset i have?

first if you have a sam drive get iprep to build your boot disc

xbc is for making backups

im in g-ville every monday.small world

it sounds like u have no sata card and u need to read textbooks tutriol a few times u sound clueless

i ment xtreme boot maker.... not XBC. not that clueless. i have sata connectors on my MB but i cannot find out what brand.

i would still change to iprep.
i had a hard time with my on board sata so i went with this

i've read it..... still no answers to my question. i've tried to find the drivers to the sata chip set i have but no luck. even MSI doesn't have them for download. i just might as well buy the VIA PCI sata. god this is making me seem soo damn stupid with the computer knowledge i have...... this boggles me.

ok... all i can find out is that my MB has a ati SB400 southbridge... the manual that i downloaded says it supports sata raid 0 and 1.
