SATA HDD Editing in Windows?

HI,
I have the original Seagate 20gig xbox HDD, Its torn apart and now connected to my Vista Pc, the drive shows up in disk managment as unalocated space, but its not shown in Explorer.
I have tried running 360Explorer but that says

"could not find any FATX drive"

Does anyone know what im missing? any help would be great.

in disk management, format it and create a new partition on it then it will work, Unalocated space the space that isnt being used by a partition, you will alwasy have 8mb of this, But the rest can be partitioned.

Hi, yeah that would work for editing it in my pc only, but I intend to put files on it to be used in my Xbox, so if i format it to anything other than fatx, I presume it wont workin the xbox any more?
I could be wrong, let me know if you agree or not?
