Scratching my head with this slim

I RGH'd a slim for a guy last week, was booting fine with impressive near instaboots every time, all happy.

He calls me up today to say it's stopped glitching, just sticks on green light. So I get ahold of it again and take a look, nothing amiss, but it won't boot to dashboard or Xell no matter what.

I resoldered everything just in case, no change, reflashed CR just for sh*ts and no change, selecting slim or phat on CR changes nothing.

So I decide to flash the original nand back and see whats up with that.

I get red dot after approx 24 seconds, error code 0022 I can't see how an LDV issue will have crept in here, and from Martin C's guide that should rear its ugly head after 15 seconds - 30 seems to be the benchmark for GPU problems, so 24 just seems random.

Not really sure what to do next on this one, so any suggestions would be welcome.

Obligatory soldering pics, but as I say was a fine specimen of RGH beforehand.

Couple points look a little odd to me. A few on the slim post QSB near the "X" clamp, and behing the black wire on the nand x QSB. I would think that something may be bridged under the QSB (Which I have seen). Removing them and doing a wire install may be an option for you.

When I found my bridged spot under my fat QSB I had to remove it, clean the area and do a wire install.. No problems since!

Just cause you were a fine specimen of RGH 1 doesnt mean things can never go wrong... check it over and over again.....

Yeah, photos don't come out well with a big shiny red light glaring at the camera.

Anyway, I have made progress - never rule out human stupidity.

It occured to me that I done a case swap with this console, thus the serial number on the console did not match that of the motherboard - doh! I found the right nand and flashed back - boots up retail no problem. Great success.

So I flash glitch image back, boots up nicely... until I put it back in the case, then its not having any of it. Still playing about with it now, very annoying.

Used top alt.point for CPU_RST and stuck everything back together, didn';t even bother coiling the wire as I'm tired and grumpy so it's just stuffed under the dvd drive, now getting instant boots or 10 seconds max every single time. These slims can be so damn fickle it's untrue. Time for bed methinks.
