Screen Freezes

I flashed chip with most recent x3 bios... Chip on it boots up to xecuter rox my box and then freezes at that screen, what gives? I flashed it again with same bios... same thing happens. Later today I am going to try flashing it with a dif bios and then flash it with x3 bios afterwards (If you guys can't help me) I only changed color of blob and "X" to preset colors if that does anything.

did it work before or was it a new install? did you enable password protect? are the dashboard files on your hdd?

It is a new install with a used chip, password protect is off, dashboard files aren't on hdd...

I can't even get into the x3 menu though...

Try holding white button on startup to enter X3CL. Also sounds similar to the password bug like Matt suggested. Could you have turned password on by accident? If dashboard files are not on hdd, is this an upgraded hdd? Does the original still work?

DOPE, I have password protect on, how do i fix that?!

i don't have a white button on my chip... i don't think

boot to flashbios, flash with x3 1959. found on xbins, that will disable the password protect feature, then flash again with 3294.

white button on chip? what about the white button on ther controller? hold it while booting the xbox to get into config live.

You don't get an extra green box for every positive rep you get. It takes heaps before you get more. Have you read this thread? Martin C has tons of Rep points, but only 1 extra box...

I will try this out tomorrow, and if it works you can be sure to get some reps I have been spending hours trying to figure this out... even considering just buying another chip or throw away my xbox... You guys helped me out alot
