My first modding attempt (1.1) did not succeed...
Pin header stuff up..(soldering tip to big..Failing eyesight...BrainDead)
Probably fixable,but not by me...(A cut trace on pin 5)
Bought a MB from ebay (supposed to be 1.1 and has not arrived yet )
Will resurrect same xbox and sell on ebay.
( Or put X3 chip on it-Solderless)
Bought Faulty Xbox (Turned out to be 1.4) on ebay (No video..Audio...DVD tray not opening)
I researched and found out it was called COMA console
Bios appears to be hosed...
It cost me $76 Au Has a phillips DVD and a WD hd.
Pull it apart and install my 2.6 ce...
No way was I trying to get the lpc pinheader off of the 1.1
so i went SOLDERLESS!!
This install was too easy...
Solder D0 wire (Haha I cant stuff this one up!!!)
Left HD LED and Net LEDOff for time being.(Not taking any chances)
Turn on XBox...AND
fragging with mod on...
Original problem with Mod OFF.(I know the mod is working..DOH)
So far so good.
Flash MOd with X2 5035(old) and iND-BiOS.5003 (banks 1-2,3-4) with pc programmer...Put back in XBox
Turn on and YIPPEEE...finally got my First(second) mod to go.
Boots with both bioses....UNREAL
Next I try the Slayers Auto Install 2.6 I had burnt earlier on a DVD -r...
It works!!!!
Format the HD...8 gig WD and do a retail install and also an evox install.
DVD and HD appear to be working perfectly...
Man is this great!!!
Next thing is bigger HD,Probably 200G.
I will use this as a media player...not really into games...
Have got a magic XFPS and a Xbox Usb to PC usb cable as well.
LINUX here I come...or windows CE!!!
It was great to get this up and running.
