Seems like the correct place for this.

Hey all total noob here! I'll start with what I dont know...what I know..then what I want to do...and what I want to use it for, if thats ok?

What I Dont know:
I dont know what type mother board I have, I just know it's a 360 slim 4gb. Purchased about 2 years ago.
I don't know what I need to order (what modchip, QSB?)

What I know:
I need to have a Nand Reader.
I want to have dual nand so I can still go online

What I want to do:
Run un-assigned code and play burnt games
Know what all I need to order (without spending a ton, but I still want quick boot times so don't think the cheapest is what I'm looking for) and what it's for?

What I want to use it for:
Mainly just be able to run CDLC for the Rocksmith 2014 game.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

your console can be a 4gb Trinity or a 4gb corona

in order to run a daulboot setup and play your backed up games you'll need :

nand reader: can be nand-x, jr-programmer, 4gb nand r/w kit or you can just use the demon since you want to do dualboot anyways (only if your console is a 4gb trinity.. demon not for 4gb corona)

glitch chip: in order to run unsigned code, you'll need to glitch your console .. latest chip is the CR4 xl.. works great on all consoles :)

replacement PCB: you'll need some sort of replacement pcb in order to do the firmware flash to play your backed up games.. your console's dvd drive may be an older version which can be unlocked but a replacement pcb is much easerier.. TX made a few different versions but they are no longer being manufactured so you need to find one for your drive

demon: in order to dualboot your console, you'll need the demon.. it can also be used to read your nand (trinity and 16mb corona versions only)

hope this helps

there is a slim and a phat demon version.. you will need a slim version..

if you can find a phat version for real cheap.. grab it as TX has revealed a new qsb for using a phat demon on a slim (16mb) console

The Slim demons are $4 more right now on XCONSOLES they only have a small amount in stock though so for your first install I would just get a Slim one because Xecuter did make a new QSB that allows the cheaper phat ones to work on slims but have not announced any release date so we don't know exactly what is happening yet and if you want to install this soon just buy the slim demon because it will be alot easier than using a phat wire install without the QSB

Also if you want to make it a bit cheaper and easier you can not get the replacement PCB to flash your drive because you can backup your games and play them straight off your hard drive which would be easier and a bit cheaper but if you want to play your backups on XBL then you will need the replacement PCB, Also I do not recommend installing the DemoN for your first time if you have no prior experience or soldering skill because they are very delicate pieces of hardware but if you do practice with your soldering iron and have experience then go ahead and good luck :)

why do I not see these products at xconsoles.com? Also I am pretty confident in my soldering skills, no matter what some may think we don't "bake" everything at Cisco. And thanks for your advice. is the Demon the only thing capable of Dual nand?

Ok I now have VIP Access to Xconsoles. I have the CR4XL, Demon Slim, and xclamp tool. Before I place the order I want to verify my motherboard with you guys. Manufacturer Date: 2011/04/08
PSU states it's 12v 10.83amps

Is this in fact a Trinity MB?

Thanks

Well good news is the glitch chip wont ship until 12th. This gives me time to enjoy my xbox a while longer before I wreck it. As cheap as they are now though "oh well". I have put mod chips in every console that I've owned and compared to the PS2 it seems there is less involved with this chip.

He said, that he has 4gb console. Sorry if I am wrong, but isn't demon only supporting 16mb console? He will need to replace nand. Am I right?
