hi I managed to get my hitachi drive to see on the port properties but not in the actual drive section I did get it sorted once but ended up with blue screen which I though under win7 32 bit didn't need drivers unsigning I decided to not bother about the ck3 pro and connect the drive straight to the computer or rather the raid card

have you burned and inserted the unlock79 cd into the drive?

have you even read any guides or tutorials that explain how to do this?

I can't stress this enough for Hitachi drives: RTFM.

The link is still there in JF I just tried it. It will give you 3 files. Burn the IMAGE.CUE to a CD-R.

hmm jf the link was dead but I found it anyway .... it came up that im on Firmware is: iXtreme:1.51:v79-12x so I assume now its finding that ummm firmware but trusty google will help ..lol

The link isn't dead the blue link that says insert the unlock 79 audio cd under the hitachi tab and just so you know he latest for that drive it lt3 try looking on xbins for the firmware pack

Yes get the firmware pack for jungle flasher, it has all firmwares stock and ixtreme, you need to put them in the jungleflasher folder which is essential for hitachi flashing.

id assume if its already on firmware I would have to return it back to stock which I don't have ?

If its a flashed per 79 hitachi then yes, all firmwares are in the firmware pack. All instructions are in the jf PDF. As long as u have your DVD key it's all good buddy.

hi I managed to get the ixtreme firmware (from news groups) as showen in pic but I think I have the wrong one am I right ? also re- looked on jf tut and it says it will not allow you to flash over I xtreme over I xtreme and so im looking for jf frw pack I have tried on xbins when you go to recive a file it seems u have to get loads of rubbish with it

What ? Just download the up to date firmware from auto xbins its not that hard then copy everything from us folders into location that has the text doc named "place firmware here"

tried auto x-bins comes up as Trojan and windows halts the completion of x-bins

Did you try this one. And I think windows blocks it Most of the time

Xbins displays behaviour that makes u'r firewall think it's a Trojan, it's not so unblock it in u'r firewall settings. Get the pack, place it in the jf folder, it's all good. :smile:
