I have the Flash Bios screen at last............... A tip to all newbies when you install the x3 pin header, after slodering press down gently to make sure each pin is firm. if its not it will come out of the board on the other side. it will save you soldering the pin header 5 times like i did before this solution. Each time i'd put it all back together then it wouldn't work and each time i opened it back up the pins had come out the other side of the board. Anyway heres the Q............. i can't seem to move between the menu on my flashbios screen. Therefor i'm unable to choose an option to flash! I tried the controller making sure it was in correctly so thats out. It works in the XBox options screen but not in the flash bios. Any ideas please?????

Try either the MS Stock controller or the DVD remote dongle.

PS A bigger tip for people trying to solder the pinheader:

Make sure your iron is touching both the thin copper LPC ring and the pin itself. If the copper ring doesn't get to the same temperature then solder will not flow onto it.

The remote works fine if the chip is disabled. i can play games normaly and do everything else without problems. Also the dvd donge works fine and i can watch movies if the chip is disabled. i tried all the advice on this topic and still nothing seems to work.

Try this - the second FlashBIOS appears, move the d-pad up/down to see if you can get it to react immediately.

Nothing happens, it still wont move. however as the box starts up it blinks green and flashes orange just once. after the bios screen is up the green light remains solid
