RGH Sell Corona-XBox or keep?

Hey Guys,

yesterday I bought a new X-Box 360 Slim. Unfortunally I recognized I got the Corona-Board (9,4A) inside.

Now I hardly reflect if it's better to sell or to keep the box.

What would you say and what do you think when a Corona-Glitch will be released?

Thanks for the quick reply.

I also saw the news. But much people say that the NAND will be the major problem on the corona-board.
TX also said they are working on the hack. But as a noobie, I don't know how high the chances are and how much time something like that needs?

As I said, I am a noob. So you think in close future the problem will be solved? :)
So I would not have to sell the box. Hope so :)

The guys on irc last night were saying there's alot still to be done though.
Not sure what the time frame is or how patient you are haha. Rest assured its coming. That said, if your wanting a hacked xbox now, you probably should just buy another that you can sell when the new hack comes out or whatever

Ubergeek said they have the hack and you cannot tell its a corona by 9.4a

The only prob is you buy a new one and its corona again please rember c4eva is working on 16d5s although not all coronas are shipped with it some have 16d4s but they are the eairly ones

In fact I do not want to wait more then 2 months for a Glitched XBox. As a newbie I cannot imagine how many time people need to release such things.

Is there a proof method to check if it is corona? MFR date is 26-10-2011 and the drive looks like an U.

In fact I would buy a completely glitched Box, so I would not have any more stress. And iXtreme is not that interesting for me, I would prefer a glitch.

By checking the lack of HANA Chip I do not want to loose warranty.

only way to be sure is if there is a Hana chip on your slim or not.

Also, I'm willing to put tons of money on the fact that a Corona hack will not be out in 2 months or less.

For the coolrunner, it went through I think like 4 changes in PCB during production and when it finally came it, it was a whole lot longer than 2 months.

And that's during production. You can bet a corona hack is still a far way off from production

There is alot of uncertainty when it comes to determining whether is a trinity or corona.
The psu rating and date on back are not always accurate. But since you don't want to open it, you can check this thread.

Sounds bad :( Seems I will try to sell the box, cause i'm not willing to wait half a year or longer.
Thought the Team is close to hack the board =/

@cfull: When I unterstand the guide I ought to remove the top case of the Box, right? Doing so it would be necessary to remove the backside sticker and loosing warranty.

The reseller I bought at do not want to take the console back, just because it was once opened :(
If it would be damaged I'd get my money back...

Yes but there are still many other parts that are needed for it to work with the corona board. It's a long ways off.

No you don't need to remove the warranty sticker. If the box is sitting vertical all that's needed to remove is the top piece. There's no sticker for that.

Look at Martin C's post. If you pop off the top grill you can shine a flashlight down in there and see if it has the hana chip. It will not void the warranty. I did it and sadly I have the corona. I am waiting for the glitch now.
