Hi so I ran into a issue where my switch will no longer charge and won't power on anymore. I called up nintendo and they will repair it for free. Now i use Sxos and have a bunch of games installed. I'm not sending them my SD card of course and I know when I put back my old SD card the games are listed there but not playable. Is it safe to send it to them to repair?

Oh also I don't have AutoRCM install or EmuNand. I had the homebrew store installed but never really did anything with it.

If you send it to them, they will patch it. I would look into other options first if I were you.

I think they automatically replace the motherboards of all hackable switches when they are sent for repair regardless of what the repair is. If you can search for an independent company that does repairs on consoles that would be the best bet - of course then you would have to pay for their service.

The folks at Greedtendo will return your console in working order but unable to use (at the time) any kind of modification. An arrogant measure if you ask me, but them folks at Greedtendo think they can win this battle when they can not.

Now, if by all means you have done just about everything to bring back to life that consoel and haven't succeeded, than send it for repair. I assume nobody more "qualified" than Greedtendo to deal with that sort of thing...

In all fairness, why would they replace the board with an older one? It has nothing to do with greed really. Just doesn't make sense to put an old part in it if they are going to repair it.

@killiandw I would look at other options first, but depending on the issue it might not be possible to fix without replacing the board. DId you by chance turn on AutoRCM?

"Replace the board with and older one"?
