I sent my drive out to get modded by 360mods.net with Iextreme 2.0 ... and I got it back and nothing worked... wouldn't play originals or properly stealthed backups, so I opened it up and unplugged it and took a look and when I plugged it back in it started overheating and I fried the firmware board. I'm looking to buy a new drive I guess of Ebay.. i have my original.bin of my firmware and the drive key, I am just completely lost when it comes to what to do next... I'd like to get this new drive and properly flash it with iextreme 2.0 and play some of my backups but I don't know how to flash the drive key on it.. I'm a newb could someone guide me through this...

over heated and burned up your firmware board

I'm pretty sure textbook tests all of his customers drives before sending them out to you. Chances are, your backups weren't created properly for the new firmware. If you really did try originals, they probably shoudl have worked.

DO you have a samsung or a hitachi? Are you buying a replacement samsung of hitachi?

Again, i have to agree with the above poster. Textbook is an honest guy - if he f**ked up your drive, he would have fixed it or replaced it for you. He wouldnt just ship it back without telling you or fixing it.

well i would be upset if i got my 360 back and it did not work.the thing is everyone can make a mistake.

the problem i have, he never said anything about talking to textbook about it he just got pissed and posted bad stuff.

textbook is for sure one of the best there is at this kind of stuff.

Not saying anything bad about textbook... but when I got the drive back none of the backups worked or the originals... thats completely true. He had previously modded my box with a version of xtreme before this and everything worked fine and I was lucky enough to not get banned from xbox live so I sent it back to him to flash it with iXtreme 1.2c and it came back making weird noises and not running any of my new backups that were properly stealthed aswell as original games. On that note textbook is a good guy I wasn't saying anything bad about him I just wanted to know what to do next, luckily I got my friends Hitachi drive from a rrod 360 but don't have the sata card to flash it. Textbook has just emailed me back this morning and he is sending me out a new drive with the firmware flashed and my motherboard key on it, so he resolved the issue I was just a little mad when it came and didn't work.

Yogie,
If I was you I would ask to have this post removed.
Did you even try to ask textbook what the problem might be or ask if there is a way to fix it before making this post??

3 emails sent to him. On 3 different occasions. He already cleared it up but he wasn't responding for a while thats why I went on here to see how to fix it and what to do next.

Its not his fault I think it most likely had to do with FedEx because when it came the face of the drive (chrome piece) was off and I found a tiny little circular piece in the bottom of the box, think it had something to do with the power? Hense my drive frying...

i think leaving the post open is good.it lets everyone know that things will get taken care of.

at this point i think we are beating a dead horse.
things are right in the world for now.
