GENERAL Service mode prob.

I have problem concerning the service mode.

My brother has got an Phat MW 360 just like
I have, we both have the 83850c v2 drive in it.
But mine is now complete up to date, I wanted
to do his 360.
But I can't get it service mode, when i got the box
the damn thing wasn't running any more, so I thing
his kid, did something with it.
The only thing that worked was the on button, that flashed and some times it stayed on, I also couldn't connect a controller.
He also has a blaster on it and I 'am trying to connect it true a Sata cable.
He didn't do the last 2 update, cos he didn't
have Internet.
So he is running an older firmware version, probably
something like LT 1.1.

Now I can't get it in to service mode, and also
couldn't use the eject button, not the one from
the box as the eject from the blaster.
I still tr-yd the erase and write, but it
keeps giving me the status 0x80

Well, I got it flashed.
Don't ask me how, but I did several thinks.
Among others, I used an older version of JF.
And I also think the drive isn't working correctly
anymore, cos when I put a game in it, the hole think
is locked up, it won't eject and the screen turns black or
it freezes.
As long as I don't put in a game everything works fine,
I downloaded the demo Forza and I could played like normal.
Is there a way the resolve this problem, like
buying a new drive and flash the new drive with the old
key.
I believe I came across this solution, but don't no if this
still works?

Problem solved, Bad Sata cable:facepalm:.
I think it was some sort off short cut in the wire.
Just wanted to let you guys now and not only
typing questions :biggrin:
