I know that it means "DVD parameters (PIO/DMA)" But what the heck does that mean? Im guessing that i missed a solder point when i was hardwireing my dvd dongle into my case. Would that be the only thing that would stop me or would it be because of something else?

Error 12 usually means you forgot to plug your DVD-ROM back in.

Check the power cord and the IDE cable

awww i know what happened. I put the bad IDE cable back in...

Those are just regular IDE cables like for the computer right?
I need a new one so ill drop by the CPU shop on the way home after work.
