Hi All,

I am a newbie to this forum so please bear with me if some of my questions seem a little basic!

First up I have just addedan xecuter 3 chip to my 1.6 box. I have flashed the bios and set up X3 Config Live. I have then used Slayer 2.6 Final to set up the new 200Gb HDD.

I have also installed XBMC but I can't get the xbox to automatically boot into the XBMC dashboard. I have set the dashboard boot priority to be xbmc.xbe and the boot partition to be f, but I always get the slayer dashboard straight up.

I would be very grateful for any help on how to set this up!!!

Also, I am using ftpexplorer to ftp in the box and find that it keeps repeating the folder structure al the time you go into a foler. I would also be grateful for any advice on what ftp software you recommend!!

Thanks for any help in advance!

Cheers

Scott

Is your XBMC IN your drive F? Not in a folder such as... "F:\Xbmc\xbmc.xbe"? Make sure the XBMC's xbe is named "xbmc.xbe" And put it in the root dir on F:\.

as for ftp to use... Flash FXP, is the one thats recommended, and preffered by most.

Textbook direction. rename default.xbe in the xbmc package to xbmc.xbe decide where you are going to put the system files (normally on E:) edit xboxmedia...xml so that the $HOME variable is pointing to where your XBMC folder is. upload both the xbmc.xbe and the xml file to your C drive.

Hi Guys,

Thanks very much for all youe help and advice. I have managed to get my xbox to boot into XBMC now but it locks up when I select the programs option.

I think I need to delete the XBMC folder and replace it from fresh and that will hopefully cure it.

Many Thanks for all your help again!!

Cheers
