Im working on my 3rd jtag using nand x. The first 2 were non jaspers and everything went smoothly, but this time Im working on a 256mb jasper and its not so smooth. Ive installed "kit #5". After I got all the boards soldered on, I powered on the xbox and updated to 7371 dash just fine. I then hooked up my nand x and dumped the nand 3 times using Jtag tool and had the same 5 bad blocks in all 3 dumps. I used jtag tool to repair the bad blocks with a clean nand, that all went fine. I then installed Xell. After installing Xell, I pushed the eject button to boot xell and get my cpu key and the only thing that happened was the center green led came on and nothing else happened. I then played around with the switchs on the "kit 5" and got xell to boot. I got my cpu key and flashed freeboot with the switchs set the same way that I got xell to boot. But it still will only boot to xell or not boot at all depending on the switch combo. Ive tried flashing back to my stock nand and still same thing. Does any one have any experience with "kit 5"? Thx in advance!

Which version of freeboot did you flash? Dash 9199 or 12611? Try creating 9199 first and flashing that to your console and seeing it it works!!!

Thx for the reply! I feel like a noob, I had a "3" in the cpu key that was suppose to be a "E", damn dyslexia lol. Just for reference I was using 12611, once I figured out I had the key wrong booted just fine.

Always test your CPU key in 360 flash tool and see if decrypts the KV before moving on to creating freeboot. Well good everything worked out at the end.
