If you have too much power going through a wire that cannot cope with the output, you run the risk of burning out some of the resistors or capacitors on the motherboard.
That's what i'd advise. The whisper legacy kit comes with a cool looking fan AND extra leds. Thats all you need really. But check the game train website I sent you earlier, they have other mods you may be interested in.
You can place the extra leds wherever you want. If you're not happy with the results, place them somewhere else. Also, I know they don't look like much, but they are a lot brighter than people think.
The leds will either plug into the fan power socket or dvd power socket. Simply follow the instructions that come with the kit. The wires are usually long enough to place the leds where ever you want. They normally have a sticky side that helps keep them in place.
I've seen it in action but never actually fitted one. I'm not sure how its powered. I've seen a vide of the the whisper legacy being fitted and because it takes power from the dvd drive AND fan power socket, i'm not sure where you would get the power from to run it. If anyone else has the answer, I'd love to hear it
because if you over draw you could ruin one of two things.
1: You could overheat and kill your power brick or
2: Do damage to your motherboard and possibly cause the DVD drive to loose power and get you ban from xbox live.
hey,
oke this weekend i am going to put smart led storm in the xbox and cut the case.
but a question is it save to use core coolers v2 with the smart led storm v2?
