I actually got rid of the drive and just jumped the GND and TRay status pins on the dvd drive male connector to stop ROL led blinking witch i suspect was causing those problems and my guess is probably true.
Currently playing off a usb stick , and it seems that things are stable now, i hope it stays that way .
My only worry is the temp , i am trying to find a solution to bring it down to 40s , i have already installed an aluminium rad on top of the original GPU rad but am still in the 50s .
If i can get to to the 40s i will prevent the console from rodding again as it is already been reflowed before .
