Hey guys

I was given some excellent advice from chase on the necessary steps on how to RGH a box using a CR4

To encourage my laziness, I'm now looking for a shopping list. All i will need aside from a working xbox 360 (I'm only working with phatties so only need to know about quirks/adaptors for PHAT boxes)

So I've got my Phat xbox and she's open and ready for surgery: what are the tools I'm going to need?

A list with an explanation of what each item does would be massively helpful. I know that the CR4 has really shaken things up and simplified life

IE: " USB to (XXXX) Cable - to dump the NAND)

thanks in advance - Everyone I've had any interaction with on this site has been awesome and so patient.

so I'd need that kit:
J1D2 quick solder board from the Xecuter NAND-X QSB Install Kit.
Xecuter Non-Xenon JTAG Alt Kit (Kit #5)
TX JRunner NAND-X CR - Phat QSB V3

As well as a CR4 and Phat adaptor?

Would it be advisable to grab a double shielded pro cable with it?

keeping in mind that I have 15 'faulty' xboxes which I'm refurbishing and will be doing this several times if I'm successful - are there any "XXXXX" - to USB ccables I could buy to make life easier?

Still not letting me in after singing up but there may be an admin review before I'll get access. I'll post back here if I manage to access the link or not after 25 hours or so

Just to consider. Out of all them phat xboxs u have, if u have a xenon motherboard then there is no rgh hack for them. Only for key recovery on rgh1 and of course if it has a dash 7371 or below then it may be jtaggable.

thanks for that, Geekheat. they are all 7371 or below but I haven't yet checked the boards.
I bought 15 'faulty' boxes in various states of fault. going to refurbish and RROD fix all of them and see which ones come up Millhouse. after I have working boxes, I'm going to get to work on jtag/rgh

I've asked for email updates on stock. I'm in no rush - I really just want one to have one to have a trial run before I start bulk buying them.

well had I used my apparently malfunctioning eyes I'd have known that! that's fantastic value, considering that the chip and phat adaptor alone at mrconsoles costs twice that much!

The only other thing you need if you don't have one is a USB to Mini A cable for the JR Programmer, they are quite common but not to be confused with a Micro USB. I know because I bought the wrong one at first.
