I was told my SPi was shot and i was wondering is there a way for me to fix my drive. Also I do not have the original key and other files. If it could be fixed how much would it cost me? Because im thinking at this point im better of modding my other xbox

Waukegan IL.
If you flashed the drive on your puter, check the key data base for your key. If it is there replace the drive.

1) How do you know your SPi is 'SHOT'
2) What drive revision is it
3) What TX products are you using to Flash drive
4) Where are you
5) Post a Hi-Res picture of your PCB

Do all of the above and you will get much better support :)

1)I sent the drive to Marshamodsand he said "tried mra and mxp101 and they both failed Took some measurements and they told me that the spi is most likely shot"
(He still has it i guess he's sending it back tomorrow)
2)83850C v2 with the stock firmware from the last XBL Update
3)I used a Homemade PMT Probe and when i started extracting the key JF Crashed and i restarted my 360 and the 360 light was flashing
4)I am in US

5)They are attached. As high as i can go on the res

Thanks for the fast reply and for supplying all the info

Marshamods is a very well respected and professional member so if he says it's Dead then I'm pretty sure it is.

Sounds like the only solution now is a new PCB buddy :(

You could find someone who will trade a new PCB for your PCB and some $$$$

Sorry I can't help you any further :(

Put an ad in the 'Wanted' section asking if there is a Pro who could possibly get your Key from the PCB.

There are some top Guys out there who can work wonders with these PCB's.

One who comes to mind is Teajunkie. Don't PM him he might not like that :( Look for his thread and post your request there for him to see.

If the PCB is totally fried then the only way to get your Key is by doing the 'Reset Glitch Hack'. Put that into the search and you will find all the details buddy....

Ok thanks , i talked to TeaJunkie through email but i wanted to see if anyone locally would be able to fix my drive(so i sent it to marshamods). But that was when i thought my drive was semi-bricked. But im kind of short on cash so idk if i would be able to send him the drive, pay for the fix and buy another drive if necessary. Also I know of the Reset Glitch but the thing is i want use my 360 online.
Also i +repped you

The 'RGH' will allow you to retrieve your key. Once retrieved you can revert back to standard and use your console as before.

You only need to post your PCB not the whole drive so it will cut down on costs :)

I would wrap it in lots of bubble wrap and put it in a Jiffy bag (also has bubble protection).

Check with whoever you send it to for their preferred method though :)
