Should I flash the DVD or not?

Sup y'all. I'm resurrecting an old Samsung MS25 with a RROD kit. The Samsung drive in it is the original and it's flashed with iXtreme 1.6. I do not have the original firmware. If I am going to JTAG this box, should I flash it to LT+2.0 or just leave it as is and JTAG?

I would not bother flashing the drive for a jtag just use iso2god to convert the iso to a games on demand package

Yea, I figured I'd just leave the DVD drive out of there completely and put a USB hard drive in it's place instead. Do you recommend any kits to purchase. What's the latest and greatest things to get to make the whole process the easiest?

Finally, I believe my Xbox is fine to do the regular JTAG however should I perform the Reset Glitch instead of the Original one? Are there any advantages of it or is it more or less the same?

right now there is not a whole lot you can so with a reset glitch I would go with jtag. as for what tools to use I have no idea I have never done a jtag

Ok, well just fixed this RROD thing and booted it up. The Dash is 2.0.8507 & I'm running Xenon. So..... correct me if I'm wrong but at this point can I even to do the reset glitch? If so, what can I buy to get it done easily (or easier) than a manual method?

yea can only do the reset glitch, check any site that sells mod chips you can find a glitcher and might want to get a nand-x to dump the NAND through USB

Hmm, you sure? Last I knew (or by google search standards), the reset glitch doesn't work for the Xenon non-hdmi 360s. Have they updated it or something? If so, thumbs up.

Looks like my girlfriend just got a new Xbox then. Any updates on an ETA for the Xenon reset glitch... if there will ever be one?

Most likely wont be one. Xenon hardware differs as it does not have the HANA chip the HDMIs do. It is possible to port it over but I would feel safe to say it wont be anytime soon.
