Should i Install Proto V2 / CoolRunner C OR both?

Hi all ..

I purchased and repaired a used slim console (Corona v1), my friend has given me a new Cool Runner rev C (he not confident to install it) BUT I have already purchased a Proto V2!

Here's My question..... is there any advantage to having Both installed OR just install either the Runner OR Proto? What would you recommend for a noob?

Just in case you need to know I have been practicing soldering on a dead motherboard and the quality is improving.

The Proto/v2 does the same job as the Rev C - it's a glitch chip. The Corona will be better served with a Proto/v2 as there's less soldering and no need for the extra corona upgrade QSB (which you would need to install with the Rev C).

Thanks Martin, i'll use the Proto V2....

I also purchased the QSB V3 Comms USB Cable and QSB Slim v3 Corona..... am I correct in that J runner will now pull everything I need using QSB V3 Comms USB Cable without connecting the console Ethernet cable?

I still use LAN for getting the CPU key. It's cleaner, neater and fuses.txt comes with it as well.

You've always been able to get slim CPU key via COM cable.
