Should I update pre-glitch

Currently on

• 8955 dash
• Flacon
• XBL Banned (crippled?)
• Running an unknown DVD FW (non-retail).

I want to do RGH on this, should I download the latest dashboard from MS and install via USB before I start the RGH?
If I do this will it prevent me from doing the RGH?

just get the latest one... Then you will have to reflash your dvd drive to play back ups

You don't have to re-flash it if you RGH and plan to use ripped backups versus disks.

you will need a re-flash if you wanna play back game discs through the DVD drive...

that's what I just said. you only need to reflash if you plan on using disks. If you plan on using rips from the HDD via RGH/Jtag reflashing the drive is unnecessary.
