Hi all

This is weird! i did the winbond hack and even made outro after unlocking to test that i didnt cut any more wires and it was opening and closing fine.
once i started writing the firmware into it it got stuck and then jungle flasher just wont deduct it.
i tried intero and power cycling but nothing works

Help!!

this is a very similar problem to what happened me with an 0225 drive last week. only i never even got to do the winbond hack. i dumped the key then closed jungleflasher and powered off the drive to mark it for drilling and soldered the 3.3v wire and then when i plugged it back the drive was dead not ejecting spinning up and not recognising in jf.

never got it figured out yet tho so i will be watching this thread with interest because im fairly sure you have did similar to me.

did you lock the spi again after write before you realised it wasnt working?

im asking because i never got to unlock mine before it went like that so i cant use anything like liteon erase to try and clear it and get it to recognise again even tho ive tested the drive with a meter and i know its getting power it just wont respond to anything.

tbh its baffling the crap outta me and by the sounds of what you are describing yours has gone similar.

i was actually wondering had i not outro'd the drive and got it stuck in vendor mode after dumping the key and because my spi is locked i cant get it out.

thats just one theory tho but if you havent locked your spi yet you should be able to sort yours

Can you eject the drive using the button on the CK3 tool that you have been using to power on th drive?
If not, guess your kamikaze didn't go well (you cutted the wrong trace).
To check that, try the next procedure. The timing is essential.

Open the JF
connect the CK3 and power it up
connect the x360usb to drive (esata) but don't connect it to the PC
prepare the Qtip soked with alcohol
At the exact moment, you connect the x360USB firmly touch the hole with the Qtip
If your JF finds the drive (even for a moment) you can be sure that the kamikaze went wrong.
If not you still have a chance.

yesterday I had some problems with the kamikaze, I could read and write but the reading lacks... I did the same thing with Q tip (while connected to xbox) and the spindle started for a second...
conclusion was I failed with kamikaze... :(

Hope it helps, even to be sure what went wrong
