Actually - I don't have an answer for this one, but since my 18 month old Sony DVD/Video player died yesterday (grrrr - 12 month warranty), it occurred to me that this might actually be a great option for me as well.

I wouldn't even mind buying a DVD remote just to turn my XBOX off if i decide to have a late night then if my parents come in i can just turn it off easily.

I dont' think you can IGR< but if youre in Evox you can use it to navigate and there's a turn off option there

you will have to wait for xecuters ir mod that will allow this to happen (or use xir)
