Simple Requests

First off keep them simple, nothing crazy

1. Changing Background color (both where flubber is at and the X screen) and the "machinery" color in the intro sequence.
2. specify path of each dash xbe rather than just the name and the 1 partition. I know it's rare that anyone really ever needs more than 1 dash name, but could be nice if something happend to C to have a backup on E
3. random animation (unless that's 0 i didn't check yet)
4. change these to normal numbers ; 0 = off, 15 = green, 240 = red, 255 = orange, 83 = cycle
5. Make me forum staff again :Þ

other than this i haven't come accross a bug yet. any other requests are things i already know are planned so wont bother to mention

for the menu xbe (if there will be one), have the path set in ini and hold white on boot to load it like in the x3 bios.

More like a question, but why isnt it 1mb like the x3. I know this is beta, but I really hope we can expect it to get as close as possible to the best bios around the block, the x3 bios

Yeah, I'd have to agree there... Anything that can make sense by changing the setting value, do it. Like the fan speed. Put it from 0 to 100. Makes sense. Make the values for the boot partitions c, e, f, instead of numbers. If it sould be self-explanitary, then make it that way.

Also, do something about the large "Loading x2 config live" screen. It messes up the flow of the boot sequence. I don't like.

Edit: It would be cool if you could add something to the bios to tell it where to load the x2 ini file. That way you could have two banks flashed with the x2 bios, and have each load a seperate ini, seperate dash, etc...

since this bios configuration is based on an ini file, you would have to specify in the ini file where to look for the ini file... doesn't make sense huh...

If you want the x3 bios and features, you should BUY an X3. Why does the size of the bios matter? The reason the x3 is 1m is the true configlive functionality build into the bios (gui features). The x2 bios will never be as feature full as the x3. (did you notice the version difference?)
The bios' are not going to be apples to apples in feature set.

Sorry, but I just want to have the best possible bios TX can come up with, and looking at what they can do, I really have my hopes high I just hope they can get as much features as possible in there, anyone else can do the config live xbe, I know the scene has lots of talented people.

dude - this is a hardware function - buy a modchip with LCD / IO support if thats what you want

and the init screen at the beginning is staying - deal with it

loading x2 config live screen stays. i placed a bet to see how many people would whine about that 3 second pause. it stays - its there for a reason. youdont like it - dont use it - or close your eyes for 3 seconds lol

Not really whining. Maybe make it look prettier, do something other than that crappy white font saying loading x2 config live. You know....

I know it's beta now, but that's why I'm here giving you my opinions, because now's the time when things can/will be changed.

You could let us edit the bios before we flash it to tell the bios where to look for the config file. I guess I wasn't clear enough when I made the suggestion.
