Simple Requests

I'm writing a little GUI proggy to create the ini file and upload it to the xbox and I'm confused about 1 thing.
the colors are 8 chars long... Know the last 6 are the color in HEX, but what's the first 2 chars for? some are 00, some are FF.

Dunno if this right place to post, so sorry if not.

You could let us edit the bios before we flash it to tell the bios where to look for the config file. I guess I wasn't clear enough when I made the suggestion.

dude - this is a hardware function - buy a modchip with LCD / IO support if thats what you want

and the init screen at the beginning is staying - deal with it

you can buy a cheapmod with lcd support for $20

if you think thats expensive you have no business playing with a $150 console where decent games cost $50

you want to have to flash the bios everytime you feel like changing the colors of the startup ? or other quick tweek features ?

As I stated before, so you can have two config live bio's, and each load up different ini's. Duh. You keep the config live abilities, but you can also have two different bio's loading different settings.

The config live stuff is great, but with that you lose the ability to have one bios load up with, say, blue flubber and logos, and boot to evox, and another one load up purple and go to xbmc... You see? That's the one thing that the old bio's had going for them. If I wanted to do that with this bios, I couldn't. I'd have to have one older bios flashed to the chip in order to do that.

no it isn't the right place to post, this is a simple request forum, not i need help
but to answer your questino the first 2 hex values are for the alpha values (invisible through solid [00-FF])

X2 lite 2.1 work?

You guys at TX totally ROCK!!!

I'm willing to try this out and report bugs/issues back.

Before I do, I have an X2 lite 2.1. It's got 1MB of flash, and a switch to select between banks 1 and 2. Now, bank 1 consists of 2 256K blocks, and so does bank 2.

Question is, it the X2 lite 2.1 considered a "512K" mod? That is, should this new beta work on it?

I'd like to keep my 4981 in bank 1 (duplicated in blocks 1 and 2), and flash the new beta into bank 2 (blocks 3 + 4 = 512K). I'm hoping that then I can switch between both bioses.

Only with the X3 im afraid, bit advanced for the X2 and i'm sure it would increase the BIOS size.

Now I know FTP has been brought up before, (I do have an X3 BTW)... but I was wondering what the hangup is to have embedded ftp on a x2 bios... is it a size limitation? hardware? what? just curious why it isn't implemented...

hi gurus out there....why i always get's frag when i flash with the latest 5028 gold bios...using 2.3b pro chip with the red PCB one... and using printer port to do the flashing... can anyone enlighten me? i put them into 4 banks each...

a little more info here b4 u guys can help... using XBM2.1 to do the flshing. i use the 5028 old..suppose to be wokring...i trans the config file into the e drive already...when gone wrong? pls help!
