Since in the ini you can have up to 5 different dashboards, maybe the ability to hold down a certain button while booting to start a different dashboard. (i.e. holding downing A starts UnleashX, holding down X starts Evox, etc.)
you'd need an embedded xbe to do all that successfully.
x2 doesnt have that only x3 has that capability
HOWEVER this same function can be done easily with most dashboards - its called QUICKLAUNCH

I´ve seen a couple of new X2 releases but no traces about the flickering/softer disabler option
