Slayers problems

PLease can someone help.

I hot swapped a brand new 120gb hard drive in my existing chipped xecutor 2.* xbox.

I have burned Slayers auto installer v2.6 onto both cd-rw and dvd-r but cannot get my xbox to read from the disc, it just comes up with HDD error number 7.

My previous hard drive has failed, so i new to start from scratch.

Could anyone shed any light on this for me please??

Make sure the jumper on the H/D is set to cable select that sounds like your problem.

Did you use a program like Quix to make the slayers into a .xiso or whatever it is... My slayers didn't read until i did this

Qwix can be downloaded from the download section of this site. I'm not sure where to get Slayer's.

Slayers is on xbins, look on xbox scene to see how to get to it.

however when I burnt slayers I just burned the straight ISO with nero and it worked fine.

qwix wont dl from this site, says module isnt loaded? as for xbins i dont have a forever internet to wait for it(slayers). oh well guess ill try somewhere else.

whats your xbox dvd drive make....cause a cdrw should work fine on all drives...strange...and hot swapping is when replacing when your unit is on, which you dont do that with a hard drive man lol...

sounds like your dvd drive is screwed up...how did previous hard drive fail? was this a power issue like a surge? i just burned slayers 2.6 with nero and works fine

looks like you may have borked components within your xbox man...strange
