slayers via pc

rite iv figured out the problems but now with a new hdd in the box it wont boot up slayers on the dvd i hav burnt. i get error 16 instead of 6 when the chip is disabled....any help for this?? also is there a way to make a hdd xbox compatible thru my pc?? cos my bootdisk wont work for some reason! help meeeeeeeeee!!

i did that yes and i understand the problem. i jus need to know what i can do for my thomson dvd to read the slayers i am burning cos it really doesnt want to lol! any help on this??

You cannot cure error 16 in this way. Like I said, if you search on Error 16 you'll find help on this.

Basically you need to boot with the stock HDD in place and set the date/time. You can then switch off the Xbox and swap HDDs again. Your boot disk should now work..

One more thing - had you used a proper BIOS like X2CL you wouldn't get error 16 as it sets the clock for you.

my original motherboard got burnt when trying to desolder a 1.0 so it became no usable. i had to purchase a new mobo and psu (1.6) and the chip works fine, jus got error 6 with the old hdd and the new motherboard. i found that i should change to the new hdd as that one is useless now (so i read) and now i am at my new error. does that change my situation at all martin mate??

Reflash your chip with the newest X2CL BIOS (make sure it's the v16 version).

It'll set the clock for you and with the new HDD attached, you should be able to boot Slayers.
