I updated my v1.0 Xbox to the new FlashBIOS 3.0.3 through the X3 Live Config menu, by flashing the 256k backup ROM from the FlashBIOS 3.0.3 bin file on my C drive. With my Flash Protect switched to the left, when I press Power and Eject I get the following on my screen

FlashBIOS 3.0.3

Video Encoder Detected: Conexant
Flash type: XECUTER3 (2048k)
BOOT: start USB init

I can't choose Enable Network Flashing or anything else since it doesn't even appear on the screen. The text above is all I see. I think it flashed okay since the title on the top of the screen says FlashBIOS 3.0.3. I'm just worried about next time I have to do an upgrade. My Xbox seems to be running fine despite this snag. Anyone know what I did wrong?

Yeah I did. I switched to the Standard AV pack and that is the message I get. I get a distorted blue screen when I use my HD pack.

I just downloaded it again and flashed again but I'm having the same problem. I don't get any menu items, just the FlashBIOS 3.0.3 title and some text underneath. I followed the instructions below, posted by someone else before:

1. Use original M$ hardwares when you flash the latest FlahsBIOS to your Xbox
2. FTP the FlashBIOS to your Xbox c:/bios (this is how I did it)
3. Hold white button on your Gamepad to power on your Xbox
4. Select "Bios Tools"
5. Select "Flash Backup Rom"
6. Select "Load 256k Bios From C:"
7. Select "Yes" on "Really flash the Backup Flash Rom?"
8. Select "flashbios_3.0.3-256k.bin" (flashbios v3.0.3 is used in this case)
9. Keep hitting "Back" button on your Gamepad to go to the top of the menu
10. Select "Power off"
11. Push DVD eject button and Power button to see the result.

My Xbox seems to be running fine. I upgraded to v1959 of the BIOS without a hitch but I'm worried I might run into some snags with this FlashBIOS update :(

Problem fixed finally! Just for sh*ts and giggles I took my DVD Remote dongle off my Xbox and now I get all my menus again. And it only took me 3 days to figure this out :D
