Hey everyone! Got myX3 the other day. I've insatlled many X2.6's before- this is my first X3.
I installed it in a 1.4, installtion went brilliant, turned it on, flashed it, perfect!
I then moved it onto a different board, I got a new Crystal 1.6 (it may be a 1.6b, i dont remember if the cable was brown or not, as i switched some cases for various reasons) I had used a 2.6 on this board previously, so i knew the rebuild was perfect. I put the X3 in, install went well. turned it on, my 5v LED came on, but not my 3.3v LED- i looked up on the forums, and found that i needed to move my 9solder point to the 15 point (alternative 3.3v) this solved my problem.
The chip worked fine , turned it on, flashed- perfect. However, as the night went on, the chip started acting strange. first of all it refused to play homebrew- then, at random stages, the chip would decide its self when to turn on /off when turning the console on. And when i manage to get the chip on, all bios banks FRAG the system.
I can load the backup bios (FlashBIOS 3.0.0) it comes up- says its Read Only. when i try to flash with the latest bios, it just wont flash. it comes up with
'Unknown Flash! Halting'
I really am stuck. I've desoldered all my connections, and resoldered them- no help.
