Details:

Slim updated to dash 13604 via USB before any work was started. I broke the warranty seal.

Drive is 0225 LiteOn with Windbound chipset.

I successfully performed Kamikaze hack, flashed 2.0 firmware. (Before you ask, yes the SPI was re-locked and yes I did the double outtro)

But now anytime the xbox is on and a disc is inserted it immediately ejects. If I have the disc tray open with a disc sitting in it and power it off, it closes as it supposed to during power down, but immeadiately ejects again but the xbox does power down.

The only way to get a game to run is to then manually push the disc tray in with the xbox off, and then turn the xbox back on - at that point it will read and play any game I throw at it be they backups or originals.

I've seen reference to a Kamikaze eject fix - but it seems those post state that fix is for when the drive will not eject. Mine ejects - just too much.

Search for the kamikaze POUT fix (this should fix the problem)... if this doesn't help, you need a replacement pcb...

Thanks for the reply. The POUT fix thread that I found here on tx seems to explicitly state that it is for drives that won't eject at all, but reading a few other sources that doesn't seem true. I'll give it a shot.

The POUT fix is exactly for your situation.

Anyway this problem is caused by drilling to wrong place or overdrill, etc....
The thing is that if the POUT fix doesn't work for you the most possible is that you have to replace the PCB in order to get it working normal again....

Most likely you have drilled to far, try the method and see if the drive will read disks. If not grab yourself a Freedom PCB, they're pretty cheap. Been modding slim drives since the kamikaze method came out, and had problems similar to this and that fix never worked.

Thanks everybody for the replies. It does read games, so I'm hopeful the POUT fix will resolve the ejecting issues. Once I get my hands on a resistor and get it done I'll post back with pictures and results.

One fix is to replace the MT chip and ad an external spi chip. Parts cost 20$ but requires good soldering skills.

There was also one fix at XBH for over drilling. In that fix you ad conductive paint/glue to the hole. Does not always work depening on what bonding wire is cut.

Any news? Did you tried it?
I am curious to know if this will work to you...
Sorry for taking so long to get back and post an update. Yes, this POUT fix did resolve the issue. I blew a 1/4W 62ohm resistor, so it took me a few more days to get my hands on a 1/2W 62ohm resistor. Everything is working great now.
