Question..im planning to do the sputnik unlock on my 03 (0225)driveboard then will flash lt 2.0 w/it. My concern is,after fwritng lt2.0 on my drive can i skip locking my spi lock status and leave it on 0x00 then press outro? So that next time i have to upgrade i dont have to unlock it anymore. Will there be problems if i dont lock it? Btw,have no plans going live/online ever.
And another question,my friends xbox has a 0225 drive that was kamikaze hacked & flashed to lt2.0 and his dashboard is 12265. He cant play gears of war 3 coz i told him his system needs to be on 13599 dash to run xgd3 games & from what i searched is that when you upgrade ur units dash from 12265 to 13599 ur flashed 0225 drive would revert to stock & lock the spi status.
He didnt listen to me & went ahead to update gow3,to my suprise after updating it with gow3 disc,his dash became 13599 & didnt return to stock & was able to play backup gow3 and all other back ups.
Why didnt it get locked or revert to stock?
