GENERAL Slim 4gb and seagate 500gb on RGH

im little bit confused on adding an HD to my friend new RGH slim 4gb , i've never tried to replace hd's on xbox 360 , but after reading sticky here , that i just need to connect and format it in the storage area , we decide to add internal , so we bought before an hour 500GB , format it , but after format complete its ask to format again , look like the xbox didnt create the proper file system , or im doin it wrong .

so maybe i need to do it by the TX hacker tool , or maybe not , i'll be glad to read about it , or getting the right steps to do that.

did you have it formatted as fat32 before inserting into xbox ??? needs to fat32 first

Yes needs to be fat32 to show up in xexmenu.

still the same format it to fat32 , try to format it via storage menu but still nothing , in xex menu the hdd is still on 0.00 GB ... i know its gonna be though , you sure i dont need to create partitions and all the rest , or because its RGH console its should be easier ?

all SHOULD have to do is connect to your pc , format to fat32, plug in xbox on NXE in system settings , go to memory, format ...that is it

windows wont let you format to fat32 though, need to use another format program such as
EASEUS Partition Master or similar

if its coming up as 0.0gb hope you haven't stuffed it using hacker tool

that exectly what i did , format it by the EASUS tool but after im enter my serial number of the console its start format the hard drive (1 min wait) , after that its not show 500GB , just gimme the option to format it again , what could be wrong ?

should come up in xbox as( i think) 465 gb...sounds like something is not going right, should be a very easy process

that really strange , we try now an old toshiba 250 gb , connect it format and work like charm and like all said , what its could be ?? , maybe because its 500gb ??

nope i did the same format for both , look like something bad in this seagate hd , strange because he is working properly under windows , i'll try replace him to another brand.

Could it possibly be your hard drive not working or does it work fine in your pc? Try writing a file to it.

They won't replace this hdd because he is 100% proper , copy files under windows , not making noises , but still won't to be my Xbox friend

try reformatting on your pc again. then try again
try doing a full format instead of quick. might take a while though..approx 1 hour

After 2 hours of full format in EASUS tool , still the same , what is going on with this HD I can't figure out , every old HD work after 2 min format , and brand new segate momentous make my life though
