RGH Slim DemoN NAND NO ROL LED's

WNYConsoles

Troll Eating Dogs
I have a very strange issue here on a Slim DemoN that I have never seen before. I have the unit setup normally with 15574 Retail on XBOX NAND and 15574 Hacked on DemoN NAND.

When I run the DemoN NAND the XBOX glitches and boots fine, however I get no ROL LED cycles???
Controller synced LED works as normal. Hitting sync I also get LED cycles.

If I run the same hacked 15574 image on the XBOX NAND I get ROL LED cycles like you normally would.

I have removed SYNC wire from DemoN, replaced the ROL board with two others, tried building NAND images with other programs, replaced ribbon cables, and I am running out of ideas. It appears the issue is the DemoN itself somewhere??? But before I replace it I figure I would make a post and see if anyone can help.

I highly doubt this is a soldering issue but to comply with the rules I have added pictures.

I wonder if that mother boards ROL connector's ground is getting messed up buy your Demons ground?

Maybe try the suggested point on the cap? and see if it helps.

I had one that did the same thing. When on the retail nand though it would switch the ROL to the RED dot in the middle but the rest of the ROL did nothing. The controller synced up but didnt show on the ROL. Switch to demon nand and everything works fine.
This happened on my first demon install so i thought it was part of the design. I've done a few since then and havent had this be repeated.

Weird. Ive got a JTag Zephyr that does that while running Xell... controller syncs and works but the ROL doesnt show which port the controllers connected to. Always wondered what caused it, assumed it must be something in the ecc.

Hmmm, that's a pretty strange error. But otherwise, the system runs completely normal? If it was my personal system, I'd probably just keep it that way (as long as it was a solid and dependable system other than the ROL not doing what it's supposed too) and if anyone ever asked, I'd just say it was just the nature of the 'glitch', hehe. Hell, I'd make it out to be even cooler than one that didn't do that.

Either way, if and when you do swap the DemoN out, please post back here and let us know your results. I'm curious to see if it was the motherboard that's causing the ROL issue, or the DemoN itself.
