So I did TONS of testing. I found that when there is no HDD plugged in or USB drive, the console boots semi-fast. When either USB or HDD is in, the console will NOT boot, or it will take a minute. The only way to get it to boot semi-fast is to unplug the power and put it back in and it will boot semi-fast 2 out of 5 times. All my soldering is perfect and I'm using the slim QSB's.

Everything works BTW just it boots slow.

Have you guys tried ajusting the length of your CPU_RST wire as suggested in the tutorial ?

"A slim should not take longer than 10 seconds to boot. If it does take longer then we suggest changing the length of the CPU_RST wire. First try 40cm then 30cm and go with whatever the best results are. Only do this if you are successfully glitching to Xell reloaded. This is not meant as a fix for non booting consoles - this is boot time fix only."

I did a trinity last night - 19/20 times it boots within 3-4 seconds - the other 1, it takes about 25 seconds....no big - I did find that having flash drives plugged into the USB ports MASSIVELY affected the boots

I have been noticing this with my slim as well on stock fw. was flashed as a 9405 but then updated to current FW waiting on replacement PCB. is there a fix for this, every time i boot it takes 15-20 seconds.

My Slim takes around 20-30 seconds to boot every time - this is with USB HDD and internal SATA drives connected. Never tried it without to be honest, 30 seconds is no biggie for me.

However I glitched my brother-in-law's falcon with a cheap eBay Xilinx and with the same HDDs connected that would boot in no more than 5 seconds every time! Strange!

Ok, so I shortened the blue wire about 8-10cm and it didn't make much of a difference. Then I wound up the wire into a circle the size of a half dollar coin, or about the size it is in the installation guides, and now it vary boots 5-30 seconds which I am totally grateful for.
