Good morning ,i have searched but can't find (sorry)whether my slim 4gb man date 24/10/11 can be flashed using either kamikaze or sputnik ? Sorry to be a pain ,if it can't ,is the Liteon DG-16D4S replacement pcb my only option?Many thanks for your time

Hi andreldarchy,
Yes you can flash that Liteon DG-16D4S drive to LT 3.0, as I have done many myself. It has to be either a 9504 drive or 0225 drive though.
If it's a winbond chipset then you would have to do kamakaze hack, which can be risky. If it's a MXIC chipset you can do the russian hack, where you just solder a resistor to the drive pcb and cut a trace on the drives pcb, which is much safer and easier than the kamikaze hack. Remember, before using either method, to back up your Dvd key first using slimkey method with x360usb pro or sata/usb cable with a compatible pc sata chipset.
