Slim flashing & dashboard update help.

Hi dudes got a few questions that i need expert advice on,im about to update 2 xbox slims both are flashed w/lt+1.91 both are in 12625 dash & has a 9504 & 0401 drive in it. Btw,im using x360 usb pro & ck3i and i have a sputnik unlocked 0225 drive. My question is:

1. Can i update both drives to lt3.0 w/o restoring to stock coz both owners dont care being banned or doesnt have plan to go on live?

2. Can i dump both drives dummybin in to my unlocked 0225 drive & use it to update their slims to dashboard 13599 so that it will be the one that will be locked & not their original drives. Then ill just put in their newly lt+3.0 flashed drives back to their unit & will it work? And anyways it easy for me to unlock my 0225 drive because i have a sputnik probe.

Please dont hesitate to correct me if im not on the right path.

1 - yes pretty much, which leads to 2

2 - you can use the sputnik hacked 0225 drive to update there xbox's as the hardware is same throughout the range then put the orig drives back in after writing LT 3 to them, dont forget to put to stock before updating.

To my knowledge flags are stored in the nand. So if you update the FW with the freeboot nand it will be flagged. So if you flashed the original nand back the flags would be gone. So it does not matter unless you are updating using the non flagged original nand. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

But can i skip the return to stock part when il update it to 13599 dash coz we dont mind being flagged coz we dont go on live?

you do the update you be stock firmware anyway.do it as you been told to do it ffs.

try it at end of the day it's your xbox.sputnik unlocked 0225 drive then it is simple

12625 dash then lock the spi on your sputnik unlock pcb. you did say it a 0225 drive right

Sorry got a little confused there. Here's what i plan to do,please correct me if im wrong.

Xbox slim 9504 lt1.91 flashed drive and 12625 dash
1. Remove 9504 drive dumb dummybin then install dummybin to 0225 drive then install to unit then use it to update to 13599 (wont it get stucked on status code?)

2. After it updates,il flash the 9504 drive to lt+3.0 then put it back to the unit. is this method correct?

If I understand you correctly you're trying to cut corners which usually leads to problems.
My advice would be to do it the correct way (back to stock, update and flash new FW).
I'd rather spend 20-30 minutes longer than hours trying to correct it afterwards.

A 9504 drive would be changed to a 0272 firmware in the 13599 update and by the sounds of it you are trying to bypass the spi locks on the 9504 0401? drive so you can flash them without moding the boards lol

once you flashed the drive you will have spi lock them. If it dont work how are u planing on unlocking them again? are they winbond or mxic

Oh didnt check if my 9504 drive is mxic or winbond coz i plan to flash it to lt+3.0 then use my extra 0225 sputnik unlocked drive to update my unit to dash 13599 coz on that firmwareeven if it gets locked i can easily unlock my sputnik 0225 mxic drive compared to my virgin 9504 drive. Am I correct?

Forget about the 0401 drive i think i need to unlock w/sputnik probe or kamikaze template coz it came locked already. So my concern at the moment is my 9504 unit.

Your 9504 drive will become locked.

You are trying to update a console with the wrong drive so it does not lock the spi on the 9504 drive. Not sure if is a flag for live.
The drives firmware would of been changed from a 9504 to a 0272 in said update 13599 and also spi locked. So once the console has been updated with wrong drive and u flash 9504 drive from lt1.91 to lt3.0 and don’t lock the spi that could also be a flag for the console. Dashboard 13599 is not the correct dash for lt3.0 you will need the latest dash for lt3.0 and then all xgd3 and few xbg2 will need patching a re-burning with abgx and a ihas burner for lt 3.0.
It is a risk and it is up to you could end up with a locked drive flashed wrong and banned console lol. But it might work so if u don’t care about live and you are able to unlock the drive after go for it Good Luck

My only plan is to avoid doing a kamikaze hack on my virgin 9504 drive thats why i will use my extra sputnik unlocked 0225 drive to update my dash to 13599 then flash my 9504 w/Lt+2.0 not 3.0 so it'll be compatible w/ my dashboard. Am i right? Even if get flagged its ok coz we dont have plans going online ever.

if u have a spare unlocked drive and dont car about live use the 0255 drive in your console in your unlocked 9504 drive as riping drive when the 0800 firmware is out
why are you only updating to lt2 and not lt3?

Coz i buy games in malaysia all Games work on lt+2.0 & dash 13599 coz if i update to lt+3.0 i need to be on dash 14699 which games from malaysia wont work then i have to buy recordable disc and burn it myself. Coz this isnt my console its my friends unit that why i need to remove my 0225 drive after i update his dash to 13599 & return his lt2.0 flashed 9504 drive.

Coz if i update it to 14699 & lt+3.0 we have burn every new game as supposed to lt2.0 & dash 13599 no need to burn it just buy the ready made fake games.

Copy games that came from malaysia lools like an original cd. Pretty nice.
