Whenever I try to play a game on my slim the ring of light just flashes green as if ejecting a disc, but it never actually ejects the tray, also it brings me to the dash board and says "opening" Then whenever it closes it tries to read the game, or causes the disc to spin really fast, and then it does the "opening" thing again. It just recently started happening, and i did flash it earlier today, but didn't have a problem until i put it all back together and tried to play a game. I took it all apart again, but it does the same thing. Any suggestions?
Also, adding this in, it will read games for awhile if i leave the xbox turned off for awhile.

It will read games sometimes, but then after a minute of playing it, it just does the flashing light thing like its gonna eject. I really would prefer to avoid spending the 60+ on a replacement PCB.. xD I looked around on Google and someone was saying something about some wires coming loose and needing resoldering?

You could try to flash it again, but i doubt that would give you any help. This sounds like a hardware problem to me.

Well i guess you could try touching up the wires that connect your PCB to your eject motor and sensor etc.

But i'm doubtful that it would help.

This happened to me a week ago.
I would play for a while then it would just go to
dashboard and blink green.
I fixed it by opening it back up and re soldering.
(Accidentally bridged a connection while trying to fix
a trace)

make sure you didnt bridge any connections while soldering.

but this was a mxic not winbond.

i had the same problem yesterday, i drilled it and everything , it would say its unlocked and i would check it and it would say it wasnt. so i got around that and stop check it to see if it was unlocked and just would write the flash, it would say the it failed flashing it but after testing it everything worked fine. but if you go to deep use conductive glue to fix the hole in the chip. and wait a couple of hours to redrill the hole fix

Sounds like the ribbon cable behind the face plate is going vie seen this quite a few times and replacing them has always fixed it

I completely removed the faceplate and ribbon cable as i thought it might of been that at first as well.
