RGH Slim Glitches Great without Drive, Takes Forever to glitch with drive

hey guys this is really Funny , i encountred a slim with a hitachi drive, the owner wanted to rgh it:facepalm: anyway this is like my 8th slim, and my 15th rgh i guess , so from what i see installing the drive might lag a little bit, maybe not. anyway i first rgh the console yesterday with cables arranged the normal way etc.. and have a qsb installed as well as post qsb, tried several length, took like a min for each to glitch, checked my soldering a million times, the same.

anyway today i decided to make it work over ma dead body, started moving cables here and there and away from the crazy blue wire and the annoying yellow one, till it came down to 8 to 10 blinks to glitch, :eek2: still thats a shame, so i decided to make something crazy actually had a spare black wire for the ground the long one used it instead of the red one as its taller so i can move the cable around, for the 3.3v, got like 6 blinks then glitches, decided to go for the yellow wire and swapped it with a spare red wire, the thick one, baam instant glitches, like 30 percent first blink, the rest 2,3,4 blinks max

installed in case same results no worries, was happy, then i connected the damm drive,

1 2 3 ....... 15:crazy: .....20 then i decided to switch the console off cause this is insane

and why was it taking like hell at first to glitch this is the first slim i encounter like this, seriously made my life a living hell, and i placed so much effort in it, i want it to work :frown:

This may seem like a shot in the dark, but I had the same thing happen to me once, with a slim.

I switched the coolrunner to PHAT mode and it worked great after that!

i also had the same problem

make sure you insulate the casing or the components with some insulation tape, also make sure that the dvd is disturbing the wires too much, use some more insulation tape if you can or do what i did, get some wire with decent insulation and try that.

i had some, took out the crappy wire so i just had the insulation. put my wires through and installed it. now my slim will 9/10 glitch within 5 or 6 seconds

thx alot i used insulation actually but will go get a whole wrap and wrap the crap out of it actually

its soo weird, will try in a few hours cause i cant stand a slim in my face right now lool

i have now used this method on 7 different slims and its dramatically reduced the boot times on 6 of them, the 7th is just being an ASS!

tried it using a usb cable insulation and helped alot, before the console decided to stop glitching hahahah damm thats a shame
it was glitching after the first or second blink all the time
